Deliveries

Upon receiving your order, Classic Tapestries will advise an estimated delivery time, delivery method and any freight charges which may apply, these will depend upon the destination and the size of the goods ordered. Alternatively, goods may be picked up from our shop.

Classic Tapestries care that your orders arrive on time and undamaged. This is why we prefer to send our products using a safe reliable courier which offer track and trace facilities, signature on delivery and insurance. This ensures traceability of your items and confidence of delivery. We like to send most of our products this way. If you would prefer your items to be sent a different way, please advise us we will do what we can to accommodate.

Larger items, such as the larger tapestry hanging rods, will be sent by courier in a rigid carton.

Below is a guide only of delivery costs:

  • Victoria - Deliveries may incur an average delivery charge of $15.
  • East Coast Australia – (including NSW and Queensland) – may incur an average delivery charge of $20.
  • Eastern Seaboard - (including Adelaide, Mount Gambier and Perth) may incur an average delivery charge of $25-$30.
  • Remote and Oversize - For those oversize items or remote, inland or outback destinations that need specialized freight carriage, excellent freight charges have been negotiated and these savings are passed on to you.

Classic Tapestries is able to offer Australia-wide delivery. Note that some remote areas are depot service only and some remote areas are not serviced and are variable to the above rates.

Arrival of Goods - The majority of products arrive timely and in good condition, however before signing for receipt of goods, please inspect product for damage and note any potential damage on the Courier's run-sheet. If you are unable to open your parcel at the time of delivery, but feel the packaging is damaged or bent in anyway, please note any potential damage on the Courier's run-sheet before signing and email us at Classic Tapestries to notify us of your concern. This endorsement then allows you a period of five days for you to notify us if there is any damage occurred during transit.

Insurance - Most items are insured, however additional insurance may be advisable for some items. Please enquire.

How to Purchase

Purchase products in 4 different ways – you have control – Classic Tapestries welcomes purchases online through our website, via telephone, via email or in person by appointment at our shop. Telephone enquiries or advice are always welcome. Payment can be made via the website securely, (including both Paypal or credit card) or via cheque, direct bank transfer or cash in person. The website has been designed to be user friendly, to load quickly and to show the exquisite details in the tapestries.

Refund Policy

Our tapestries are made with a high degree of skill and care, not often seen in today's world of mass-produced goods. Slight variations do occur from piece to piece due to the individual nature of the fibres used in each tapestry and the weaver. The images on this web site and in the printed catalogue are a very good indication of each tapestry and enable you to confidently make a selection and buying decision.

However in the event of a tapestry arriving damaged or faulty, Classic Tapestries will refund or replace such goods as soon as possible. Upon arrival of a damaged tapestry please inform Classic Tapestries for return instructions. Upon return, Classic Tapestries will refund or instigate a replacement, whichever is appropriate.

When purchasing from Classic Tapestries your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest encryption technology and is the industry standard.

Classic Tapestries does not pass on customers' private details or purchasing habits to any other persons or businesses, except for information that is required for delivery of your tapestry by the transport company. Credit cards are processed securely by a third party and card details are not revealed to Classic Tapestries.
